This Post tells How you can format Nokia N73 / Nokia N73 Music Edition? This Post also includes a clearance when you are performing Hard Reset / Hard Format on your Nokia N73 Phone!
Soft Reset / Soft Format for Nokia N73 / N73 Music Edition
If you prefer Soft Reset for your Nokia N73 Phone than just press *#7370# or *#7780# while the Phone is ON. The Phone will ask you for Security Code which is 12345 by default.
Note: This method will only reset your Phone Settings to Factory Defaults and will not format Phone Memory or Memory Card. It’s recommended that you format your Memory Card Manually ( Tools>> Memory>> Options>> Format mem. card) before going for Soft Reset, if necessary.
Hard Reset / Hard Format for Nokia N73 / N73 Music Edition
Switch off your Nokia N73 Phone and then press * + 3 + Call Button (Green Button) Combinedly. Now keeping all the three button pressed Switch ON your Phone.
This method will do Hard Reset of your Nokia N73 Phone. Your Phone Memory will be reset to Factory Default Value (meant for Symbian Operating System) and Memory Card will be formatted (if not formatted earlier). Also each and every Settings will revert back to Factory Defaults.
Clearance: As soon as the Phone switches ON while the 3 Button are pressed combinedly, it MAY NOT Show any formatting Process on the Screen, rather it will Hard Format the Phone during startup and will directly asks you to Select your Country and then Date & Time. Be assured your Phone has undergone Hard Reset Process.
