Chelsea supporters are invited to join the first team squad, management and past winners at this season's Player of the Year awards dinner.

Voting for the award has already opened, but you can go one step further and be there on Thursday, May 21 as the 2009 winner is announced, sitting among such celebrated company as Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, Charlie Cooke and Lawrence Dallaglio.
Last year's winner Joe Cole followed Michael Essien and John Terry in accepting the award, and said: ''Every time you win an award from fans is special because they're the people that pay to watch you.

'If they're approving of you, these are the people that watch every game every day, whereas some pundits only see you five times a season, but the fans watch every game.'
